The Eldon was well located, close to restaurants and sights and it is situated in a neighbourhood which is obviously being revitalized. The fact that it stands by itself beside boarded up and burned out buildings, was a bit disorienting....

The hotel is located in a very convenient place, 5 minutes from the metro and 10 minutes from Chinatown. The room was very clean, very classy and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The rooms were very modern and comfortable.
The staff at times seemed very indifferent to guests. I had to wait for attention from a front desk clerk, while she was enthrall led with her phone. She completely ignored me. Parking is expensive, even by Washington standards and the so called continental breakfast was not free, and not very good.

excellent access to parks and museums for city strolls
I loved how easy it was to walk to the Lincoln Memorial, almost 3 km away, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture, just under 2 km from the hotel. The staff was also very helpful and the room felt spacious and comfortable for my solo getaway.
